• The Stanley Kubrick Film Festival poster series is about psychosis, and it illustrates the mental instability each protagonist battles throughout the movie.
The people that would attend a film festival are most likely already fans of the movies, which gave me more artistic liberties, rather than my main focus being to communicate the storyline of the movie. With that, I chose to illustrate the issues the main character of each movie has in a subliminal and eerie way.  Each character's psychological issue is represented in the patterning on their brain.
  • Maze Patterning: Jack Torrance loses himself in his own mind
  • Faceless Women Patterning: Dr. William Harford becomes obsessed with carnal desires, without any emotional attachment
  • Machine Patterning: Alex DeLarge is programmed to be less violent, giving him qualities of a machine rather than just human nature
