3D Modeled Environment: Dim Hallway

  • These are progressive photos detailing an environment for my Advanced 3D class. The focus here is on the quality of the render and the effect of lighting in environments.
     
    I took the hallway from my film "The Mirror" and added a few more components, such as the table and the frames. My choice of lighting was a single candle, and to give the illusion of a long hallway.
  • This shot is the hallway with default Maya lighting. The opposite wall on the right is a mirror texture and the flame on the candle is texture geometry.
  • A test using mental ray.
