This project was inspired by the story Dr. Zhivago which was written by Boris Pasternak. The story was about a man, Dr. Zhivago and his love for two different women, Tonya and Laura. The story took place during the Russian Revolution and many imperial families were forced into poverty and became "forgotten". Some say there are still many priceless artifacts hidden in Russia from these imperial families. My collection focused on the duality of Tonya and Laura and rich and poor. I chose to incorporate rough wool, stretch faux fur, metallic detail fabrics and sheer fabrics. I also included metallic trims which represented the "lost" artifacts. Each look has a unique combination of all the fabrics and shows the contrast of textures and colors.
