For this project, we had to design a senior child mentor center located in South Philadelphia. It would serve as a senior center during the day and then the children would come after school to get help with homework, learn to cook, and do other such activities with their friends. Our concept of assembly came from the idea of two nearly opposite groups coming together for a common goal: to learn from each other. We used four main elements: two dropped ceilings, and two masses of walls in green and blue to emphasize how everyone converges in the great room. This was a group project completed with Chelsey Glidden.
