Hakkuseikkailu was developed for RAY (Finland's Slot Machine Association) with the goal of bringing young adults in their 20s and 30s to RAY’s new Feel Vegas concept locations.
About the Client
The purpose of Finland's Slot Machine Association (RAY) is to raise funds through entertaining, exciting and responsible gaming services. RAY's entire proceeds are used for supporting Finnish health and welfare organizations.
RAY’s slot machines and casino games can be played at thousands of locations which are looked after by the company’s business partners. Games can be found in hotels, restaurants, cafés, service stations, markets and kiosks. Even today, the majority of RAY’s revenue comes from slot machines. It is also possible to play at RAY’s own arcades. RAY develops and provides games for its gaming locations, as well as takes care of the maintenance.
The Design Challenge
Based on user research, develop a new gaming terminal to be used in a modern arcade environment combining gaming with entertainment and social life in an urban setting.
I was responsible for designing the game visuals, printed materials and conceptualizing the game console. Worked alongside programmers and engineers to realize final output of UI and manufactured gaming terminal.
