  • For this dress, I created my own bodice pattern by cutting up a pre-existing pattern and adding seam allowance to each section that was cut. The skirt is four yards of fabric around the waist for each layer.
  • The Bodice is peiced together from three different colors of lambskin leather and is fully lined with boning in the side seams. The skirt is a full, gathered, 10-layer skirt with a blush-colored silk-satin liner, 4 layers of black tulle, 4 layers of blush tulle, and finally the three-dimensional embroidered lace overlay. The original design did not have straps on the dress, but the skirt being so heavy, made it so straps were inevitable. The spaghetti straps on the bodice are also lambskin leather.
