Textures

  • This is a project I did for my Design Essentials class at Jefferson. I found 6 initial images from the September 2018 Harper's Bazaar magazine. After that, I translate the feel of those images into three dimensional textures. Finally, I translated those textures into two dimensional marker drawings. Each translation is an iteration, inspired by the previous image or texture, but a totally new design.

These are the materials for the 3D panels in order:

    1. Coffee, coffee grounds, coffee beans
    2. Wooden pegs, magazine cut outs
    3. Sugar, paint, matte medium
    4. Yarn, button
    5. String, paint, glue,
    6. Matte board, sand paper, paint
  • This is a page of research from my sketchbook. The word cloud on the right shows the iteration ideas I went through.
